Booty Call update and goals

So I am still working at the Booty Call Challenge. It has been a few weeks now and I've really only slacked a couple of times (both holiday weekends I took 2 days off instead of 1). I have been loving it and feel great! I think I have even noticed it helps with my bum thyroid. I probably shouldn't be admitting to this on the internet for fear of the onslaught of finger shakes and lectures I am bound to get...but prior to yesterday I hadn't taken my meds for about 2 weeks or so and I didn't really notice a big difference. Before working out, if I went even just a week without them I would feel so awful...very run-down and hair falling out everywhere.

I know with New Year's usually comes Resolutions. I'm not a fan of this word. I prefer Goals. I have been working on a list of goals I would like to accomplish and check off over the year. I wasn't purposely waiting for New Year's to do this because really, you can start any time! I just figure it's an easy date to remember.

Most of my Goals are fitness related but I've thrown in some other ones as well:

1) Continue with the Booty Call Challenge.

2) Feel comfortable and confident in a bikini. And buy a pair of skinny jeans! Preferably by the time we go to Jamaica, but if it doesn't quite happen by then that is ok.

3) Better eating habits. I used to be a very healthy eater but the last few months I really fell tragically short of nutrition. I plan to eat more veggies!

4) Cook 1 new recipe a week. So far this week I am making a 3rd new recipe tonight. I will try to post the recipes and let you know how we all like it. :)

5) I want to have a '4 pack'. Having had 2 kids a 6-pack may not be possible so I'm good with a 4-pack. :)

6) Build up more of an at-home type 'gym'. I want to buy an elliptical and some more DVD's, some hand weights and a mat. I am almost done with Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and it's nice to just switch things up now and then anyways. I tend to get bored easily when working out.

7) Church. I want to make more effort to attend more. We have been doing good lately but summer it becomes tricky when we are gone almost every weekend out of town.

8) Taking more pictures when I visit family.

9) Get back to school! I would like to get through 3 classes by New Year's next year.

Well, I think that about covers it. I will post updates on my progress. Wish me luck!
