He is growing up too fast. I remember being a kid, just waiting to lose my teeth, excited to be a teenager, turning 16 and getting my license, graduating high school. I love the song by Kenny Chesney, "Don't Blink". It is so true. I wish I could have care-free days of being a kid again, but more importantly I wish I could make Parker realize how fast life goes because in just a blink of an eye it has passed you by. I want him to embrace being a care-free little boy as long as possible. Life is so hectic in our house these days, and I know we aren't alone. I think we need to take a little time now and then to be care-free adults.

Lost Tooth
Parker lost his first tooth yesterday. I was in shock since I knew he didn't have anything that was loose to the point of almost falling out. Mark and I keep telling him you can't force them out, they will come out when his adult teeth are ready. I couldn't wait to get home to hear his story.
Apparently shortly after Mark dropped Parker off at school he used the strap of his backpack to pull it out. This HAD to have hurt, but of course he won't admit to this. He was so proud of having FINALLY lost his first tooth, I didn't want to burst his bubble. He has been upset for a few months now as he has watched his friends start to lose their teeth. However I did remind him he needs to let the others fall out on their own.
