With the wedding just barely more than 8 months away, I am going to start working on getting into better shape.
Being a full time working mom of two kiddos doesn't exactly allow time for the gym so I have to be a little creative. For the last couple of weeks I have been walking at lunch with my friend Erin. It is only a half hour but it gets me away from my desk and I would rather do a half hour of walking than nothing at all.
At home I have been trying to do crunches every night, with something for arms and legs thrown in there. I have to mix it up a little bit once in awhile because I have a tendency to get bored. One night I will do abs with arms, the next night I will do arms with legs.
And now to add to this, and again, to keep it interesting, I bought Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. I know so many people who have tried this and I've never heard anything bad about it. I was able to preview the videos over the weekend and decided it is well worth the try. I don't know if I will be able to do it every single day, but I do plan on doing it enough to make an impact. The best part, Mark agreed to do it with me! I think it will help to have someone there to keep pushing me along, as I've been told it WILL kick your butt and drench you in sweat.
We haven't had a chance to start yet, but I am hoping to tonight. I will try to give an update in a couple of weeks with how well I'm sticking to the plan.
