Goal

Every day feels like Christmas to me this week. With the St. Jude's Give Thanks Walk just around the corner (3 days to be exact but who's counting?? :) ) we have been watching the donations just come pouring in. Today being Wednesday I didn't get here until 9 am. I opened my Outlook to an email from one of our Walkers informing we are at......drumroll please.... $932.50!!!!

This is so awesome!! Words cannot express how beyond thrilled, excited and proud I am. We have worked and rallied hard to reach our goal and it is paying off!!

It's not over yet though. We do still have 3 days left. I am hoping people will still make a donation. And even though the walk is Saturday, that doesn't mean my quest to make a difference is done when we finish walking. I am so looking forward to the next challenge, and I hope to get one started soon.

I've never been a part of anything like this before. My first experience was The Race For The Cure in Detroit this past May. I thought that was an awesome experience. Creating Donna's Warriors has been different though. I read Donna's Cancer Story and wanted to do something. So I did, and so far it has been an AMAZing experience. I'm surrounded and supported by incredible people...friends... They have been just as excited about our cause and progress right along with me. I hope we can make it grow and accomplish more.
