One of my long time best friends Amy married her soul mate yesterday.
Amy and I became friends in 1989, we were in 5th grade. A year later she moved to St. Charles and we maintained our friendship through phone dates that lasted hours. Several years later as we became adults we somehow lost touch. Some 12 years later we reconnected and picked our friendship back up again as though no time was ever lost. I learned our friendship does not depend on being together, it is deeper than that. Our closeness is something inside of us that is always there ready to be shared with each other whenever the need arises.
I am so thrilled that despite the 12 year gap of time in our friendship she asked me to share in her special day and gave me the honor of standing
up for her. Through this Mike and Mark have even become friends. I have a feeling we will
have many more fun times and memories to be made in the future.
Amy is an amazing woman, and I'm so glad her and Mike found each other.
