Day 9: Faceless Self-Portrait

Faceless Self-Portrait

Thank you to my 7 year old for taking this one for me :)

Today is (supposed to be) the first game of the ALDS for the Tigers, my favorite baseball team. Well....my only baseball team!

I wore this shirt today to show support and luck for the boys and my favorite pitcher Justin Verlander, who is supposed to be pitching tonight. Some 'luck' my efforts brought, we are currently on a rain delay with a 1-1 score.

I 'heart' the Tigers!

Day 8: Technology

Technology

I am using my camera for this one. I love taking pictures, especially of my boys (even though I usually use my phone lately). I am using this for Day 8 because I had lost the battery charger and with both battery packs dead the camera was rendered useless. BIG BUMMER. Many a great photo opportunity was missed on account of this.

But I finally found it a couple of weeks ago just in time for the Monkers' birthday party, YAY!!

***Side note: Thank GOD this isn't the "30 Consecutive Day Photo Challenge"!! Can we say FAIL??

Wedding!!

Not mine...my sister's :)

September 24th, 2011 truly turned out to be a beautiful day, in every aspect of the word (despite a certain someone's attempt to ruin yet another wedding. I won't name names here, but I will say she is running 2 for 2. I shall call her The Wedding Crasher).

Even though the weather people predicted rain off and on all weekend, the sky was a beautiful blue with scattered big white fluffy clouds.

The ceremony went off fabulously. AnnMarie was so gorgeous. Jordan cried when he saw her walking down the aisle, which of course set off all of us bridesmaids. Thank God for the tissue we all hid in our bouquets!

The reception went great. I promised I would post my speech on here, so here it is. And let me tell you, I almost didn't make it through!!

I want to start off by thanking everyone for being here to celebrate AnnMarie and Jordan's special day. I know it means a lot to them.

AnnMarie, my baby sister and best friend. You look so beautiful today. You are the picture of a glowing and radiant bride.

I remember when I found out I was going to be a big sister, and then when we found out you were a girl, I was so excited. After you came home from the hospital and I was back in school, I would BEG mom to just let me take you to school for "show and tell". I was so convinced I could take care of you, just leave you in your infant seat and rock you with my toe when you get fussy.

I always wanted to help take care of you...from feeding you to helping you learn how to walk, to riding a 2-wheeler bike and giving you big sisterly advice. I remember as we both became holder thinking, she's going to grow up and get married some day, and then she won't need me anymore. And now here we are on your wedding day and I hope you will still need me once in awhile. Even though I know Jordan takes great care of you, just humor me now and then, ok?

Jordan, you came into AnnMarie's life at a perfect time. You helped to heal her broken heart at the time and showed her that even though a window had closed, you were there opening a door for her. You were patient and gave her time, and now it has paid off as you have won the ultimate price - her heart and love for the rest of your lives. I know you will always treat it, and her, with the care and love she deserves. Just as I couldn't have picked a better sister if I was given a choice, I also couldn't have picked a better husband for her to share her life with.

As you start your life together, remember...... "Life is short - kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love deeply, and forgive quickly." A successful relationship requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always.

I raise my glass to AnnMarie and Jordan, and a lifetime of love and happiness. I love you guys.

WOW...I still cannot even type this, or even talk about how beautiful she looked, without getting teary!!

AnnMarie, now that I know you read my blog, I am so proud of you, and proud to be your sister. I love you (and Jordan too!).

Never Grow Up-Taylor Swift

This song makes me, as a mommy, pretty emotional.....

Happy Birthday!!!

Today is a VERY special day....

On September 21, 2010 at 11:49am, my 2nd baby boy came into our lives, weighing 10lbs, 6oz, 21in long. Yes, you read that right...10lbs, 60z.

C-Section. OUCH.

But here he is, 1 day old in this picture. I was so scared, this was my first surgery. But I was so excited to meet him and hold him. There really is no other experience quite like becoming a mommy, whether it's your first, or in this case, second. My boys bring me so much happiness.

And now, a year later...........

Happy Birthday Camden William!!!!

Update

It's been a busy week. Camden's birthday party was on Sunday, pictures will follow soon. Tomorrow is already his first birthday...so hard to believe!

I finally took my dress in to be altered last night, much to AnnMarie's relief. She informed me on Sunday that she does read my blog (Thank you sissy!!), with a look that said "get your dress done or I'll throttle you." ha! AnnMarie...didn't I tell you I had it under control?? All set to be picked up by Thursday afternoon. :)

Saturday is her wedding...4 more days and counting!!! I am soo excited! Once we get through her wedding things should slow down some and I will be able to put more focus into planning ours. Just a little less than 6 months to go!

I have a special request to make. I love the little FeedIt thingamabob I put on my blog, it shows me who reads my blog, but by location only. If you read, become a follower....I only have 6! I really only write because I love doing it. But I'd love to read any comments or anything anyone wants to share! :)

Fantastic Friday!

It's another Fantastic Friday! Let me tell you...my mind is not on doing anything remotely close to work related!

My sister's wedding is next Saturday....OH MY GOSH! I am so excited! I finally finished my speech the other day. I'll post it after the wedding, just in case she ever reads my blog. I don't want to ruin it!

I still need to find shoes for her wedding, so I've been doing a little bit of searching for that. AnnMarie, if you read this...don't worry, I'VE GOT THIS! :)

I also figured out a couple of days ago what I am going to do for her something New, Blue and Borrowed. Everything is really coming together quite nicely! :)

In all seriousness...the entire coming week into next weekend will be so emotional for me. Camden turns one on the 21st, and he just started taking his first steps a week ago. He is getting so big. I can't believe he's 1 already. Even Parker is excited, he asks me almost every day if it's his birthday yet.

And my sister's wedding...I've already warned her I will be a train wreck. I couldn't hardly write her speech without crying. I've read it aloud a couple of times and I can't hardly make it past the 1st sentence. Originally I hoped if I read it aloud a few times it would desensitize me but now I just don't see that happening. I couldn't even control myself reading it to my co-workers. Talk about feeling like a tool....

Have a fabulous weekend! <3
